Governor
Kashim Shettima of Borno state yesterday announced the appointments of Alhaji
Usman
Jidda Shuwa as Secretary to the State Government, and Barrister Yakubu Bukar and Alhaji Modu Musa as Head of Service and Chief of Staff respectively.

contained in a press statement signed by the Permanent Secretary,
Administration and General Services, Governor’s Office, Dr. Maryam Bukar
Ibrahim and made available to Daily Trust in Maiduguri.
Shuwa,
57, until this appointment as SSG, was the Executive Chairman of Borno State
Teaching Service Board and at one time the Director of Administration at Borno
State Agricultural Development Programme (BOSADP),
Shuwa,
who studied Law at the Ahmad Bello University (ABU) Zaria, was a lecturer at
the University of Maiduguri and had been at various times Registrar of Borno
College of Legal and Islamic Studies (BOCOLIS).
Governor
Shettima also approved the re-appointment of Alhaji Isa Umar Gusau as his
Special Adviser on Communications and Strategy, while Alhaji Usman Kumo, as
Senior Special Assistant on Media (Radio) and Miss Kwapchi Bata Dibal as Senior
Special Assistant on Media (Television).
Other
aides appointed were Yusuf Usman Shettima and Abba Bashir Talbari (Social
Media), Baba Zannah Abdulkarim (Special Projects), Mustapha Mohammed Kukawa and
Christopher Godwin Akaba (Special Duties).
